Our decking boards come in standard 4-metre lengths and are 145mm wide and 21mm deep.
While both our classic range and premium range offer impressive durability, easy installation and minimal maintenance requirements, the premium range provides additional weather protection, increased stain, mould and algae resistance along with added UV protection to reduce colour fade.
Our products are designed to be low maintenance, however to keep up the aesthetics we do recommend you are vigilant when moving garden furniture and other products on the decking.
Composite deck boards can be cut in the same way as traditional timber deck boards, using ordinary woodworking tools. Choose a sharp medium toothed blade for your circular or mitre saw for a clean edge.
Yes, it will absorb heat if in direct sunlight, this is a drawback of the darker colours.
Supporting every composite deck is a strong and reliable subframe which can be made up of joists and pedestals or battens. This substructure is vitally important to make sure your deck allows drainage and airflow, and your deck is only as durable as the frame holding it up. Our range of decking substructure accessories includes adjustable pedestals, corrosion-resistant weight-bearing aluminium joists and composite battens.
Composite decking is designed to be fitted securely into position with no visible screws or fixings, which is why it has such a flawless finish. Our hidden fastener system attaches deck boards to their frame while also acting as a spacer to create even and consistent 3mm or 6mm gaps between boards, while Starter Fasteners perfectly position your first and last deck rows. The hidden fastener system is designed to be used with standard tools for fast and straightforward installation.
Conceal open deck board edges with our matching End Caps for a really professional finish. The optional End Caps are a quick and easy way to conceal exposed areas and just push into place in seconds – no tools necessary. Along with End Caps, we also supply Edge Trims, Bullnose Edges and Skirting Boards in the same range of colours as our decking boards for a truly flawless finish. The balustrade kit includes everything required for installation. The metal plate is secured to the metal upstand using the 5 screws provided, you then secure the metal support to the joists by using the M10 nut and bolts. The foot cap, composite sleeve sit on the metal support and the top cover then sits on the top of the post.
The spindles are secured to the top and bottom rail by using the black connectors. Once all these are connected to the rails are then secured to the posts by using the L brackets that are provided.
The balustrades can also be cut down.

It is important to leave gaps between boards when installing your composite decking, but the size of the gap you choose can vary. As long as the space left is big enough for adequate drainage and board expansion in the heat, and the gaps are exactly the same size to give a uniform finish, the gap size is an aesthetic decision. We supply easy-to-install hidden fasteners that act as spacers, making it easier to achieve perfectly even spacing. Our 6mm hidden fasteners are durable and cost-effective, and our 3mm fasteners give a tighter, more flawless finish.
Gaps of 8 – 12mm are recommended for butt joints (where one deck board touches another) and deck ends against walls etc. Remember that the weather makes a difference – on hot days the boards will be expanded, so they will need minimal gaps. On cold days the boards will be contracted, so install them with the larger gap size.
You can either pre-drill and screw through or use a solvent-based outdoor adhesive for a flawless finish.
Our reversible decking boards can be installed either side up – the choice is yours! On one side is a natural wood grain effect and on the other a modern ridged pattern. Choose one or the other, or use a mix of both to delineate different garden areas – it’s a purely aesthetic choice.
No, it is not necessary as the weight of the decking boards once installed will create the structure and hold the joists in place.
You can use the 3mm or 6mm fasteners, you would place a fastener in the grove of the decking board and the grove of the bullnose and secure to the joist.
You don’t! One of the great benefits of composite decking is that it is delivered as a finished product in your chosen colour. Our composite decking is available in a range of classic and modern colours – order a free sample pack to see the colour options for yourself.
Quickly and easily! Composite decking requires much less cleaning and maintenance than the timber alternative. For regular maintenance, just sweep away leaves and debris every so often (remember to clear the gaps between boards), and wash the deck with warm soapy water, a scrubbing brush and hose a couple of times a year.
Try to act fast! If the spill has just occurred, immediately wipe it up to stop it staining the surface of the deck. If grease is present, clean the deck with soapy water and a scrubbing brush, or try washing it with a bleach-free composite decking cleaner before hosing clean. Always follow any product instructions carefully, and make sure the water is not too hot.

Keeping your decking clear and clean takes very little time and makes a big difference. If you use your deck for eating, barbecuing and drinking, keep an eye out for spills and wipe them up immediately to prevent the deck board staining. For general maintenance, just sweep debris off the boards and from in the gaps between boards as needed to stop algae and mould growing. Every spring and autumn we recommend washing down the whole deck with a soft scrubbing brush and soapy water, before rinsing clean with a hose. Areas subject to higher mould growth may need power washing, bleach free cleaner or treatment with a copper sulphate solution.
If you discover black marks from mould on your composite decking, remove them as soon as possible to prevent staining. All you should need to do is take a bucket of warm, soapy water (or a bleach-free composite deck cleaner) and use a soft-bristled brush to scrub the surface of the board and down into the gaps between planks. Hose the deck down when you’ve finished. Keeping your deck free from debris will help to prevent the mould returning. Areas subject to higher mould growth may need power washing or treatment with a copper sulphate solution.
Any decking can be slippery when it is covered with ice, water or algae. Composite decking is much more non-slip than traditional timber decking as it is designed to minimize the growth of mould and algae. For the most anti-slip surface possible, regularly sweep loose debris from on and in between the deck boards and wash the surface down.
